Joe Cornish Eyes Patrick Stewart, Rebecca Ferguson for “The Kid Who Would Be King” (Exclusive)
20th Century Fox’s family-friendly fantasy film will be Cornish’s first since his acclaimed 2011 debut Attack the Block, which launched John Boyega as a major star.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson has signed on to play real-life figure Ruth Harkness in the period drama The Lady and the Panda. The film is directed and co-written by Justin Chadwick with production set to begin in the Himalayas in China next month.
When Ruth Harkness takes a baby panda back to the US, she creates a nationwide sensation but before long realizes these incredible animals are best preserved in their natural habitat. 
Fox’s P.T. Barnum musical biopic The Greatest Showman continues to fill out its cast with the addition of Rebecca Ferguson. She joins previously cast Zac Efron, Zendaya and Michelle Williams. 
Rachel, who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.
