The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Los Angeles Times’ presence in unscripted and scripted Film, Television, and Digital Media.
The Coordinator will participate in the development of all scripted Programming from concept to series.
The ideal candidate is both a strong creative and invested leader with the proven ability to work collaboratively, solving day to day creative problems as well as supporting bigger strategic and production conversations.
Responsible for overseeing the budgeting and Physical Production by third party studios of Hulu’s rapidly expanding slate of Original Drama/Comedy scripted pilots and series, unscripted documentaries and series, low budget films, and specials.
The coordinator will participate in the development of all scripted programming from concept to series.
Field pitches, identify trends, and help establish the strategic development goals for the Drama department.
Handle daily administrative tasks including: assisting with scheduling, filing, photocopying, scanning, running errands, taking notes, answering phone calls, detailing messages, ordering office supplies, etc.
Responsibilities include providing administrative support to scripted and unscripted development executives, scheduling a high volume of meetings and pitches for the department.
Will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, help keep long term projects on track, and handle more urgent requirements.
Coordinates and organizes all material coming in and out of the department including: scripts, cuts of shows, promos, shoot material, awards submissions and communication.
Launch an IP group targeting both domestic and international sources for USG (i.e., books, articles, life rights, podcasts, formats, etc.) as well as identifying IP that aligns with talents creative requests.
Job responsibilities include standard assistant duties, coordinating among all scripted departments, tracking, and evaluating material/script coverage.
Ideal candidate has an interest in scripted development and producing, A+ communication skills, and loves to make spreadsheets look pretty.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for scripted television and artist representation in the entertainment business as well as interest in international business development.
Working closely with creative and showrunners, identifying and assessing creative materials and partners as well as managing relationships with internal / external staff and crew, reviewing and vetting creative materials and ensuring premium quality content is produced.
