Duties include reading and evaluating scripts, finding new talent and emerging voices, creating lists of directors, writers, and actors.
Assist the development team with coverage on incoming materials (reading scripts, books, show pitches, etc). Preparing decks for internal and external creative presentations, including editing clips and mocking up creative materials.
Working closely with creative and showrunners, identifying and assessing creative materials and partners as well as managing relationships with internal / external staff and crew, reviewing and vetting creative materials and ensuring premium quality content is produced.
Liaising with agents, studio executives, writers, and executive producers as well as internal departments.
Maintain organizational system for tracking project materials, incoming submissions and other tasks/requests to ensure timely response and accurate record keeping.
Job duties will include reading scripts, reaching out to casting offices, submitting clients to executives and producers, and tracking grids.
Reviewing new submissions, scripts and revisions, and providing comprehensive feedback as necessary.
Provide overall production support and assistance to Creative Director and producer.
All majors are welcome, but a strong interest in feature film and TV development is required.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in both development and production, and the ability to identify strong material and talent and give creative guidance and feedback to top level writers and directors on outlines, scripts, and cuts.
Assist the department manager in monitoring current productions, including tracking production progress, script revisions, paperwork distribution; becoming familiar with the procedures, processes & terminology of the Production Office and Set.
Lead the creation, development, and production of original series for Nickelodeon and 3rd party platforms.
This position requires someone passionate, committed and engaged who is proactive, highly organized, tech-savvy and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Have the ability to guide all creative aspects of the development process – vetting and screening pitches/submissions, identifying talent and mining IP.
Coordinates & arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves & prepares facilities, and records & transcribes minutes of meetings.
