“I’m a personal fan of Bong Joon Ho’s epic film, and jumped at the chance to honor his original vision, yet expand upon the world and characters with a diverse, award-winning cast,” said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT.
The Drama series is based on Joon-ho Bong’s futuristic thriller of the same title starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton.
Production companies Tomorrow Studios and Studio T are combining forces to co-produce Snowpiercer, a new series based on the critically acclaimed Bong Joon-ho 2013 film of the same name. TNT has given the series a pilot order and Josh Friedman has been tapped to write it.
