Television creatives have the President on their mind as the 2016 election has become the subject of a handful of scripted dramas, but while many in Hollywood look a year behind, it may have more of an impact if they instead look to what is happening today.
Political drama Succession has landed a series order from HBO. The series from executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and writer Jesse Armstrong received a pilot order last summer, which McKay directed.
HBO has given pilot orders to drama pilots Mogadishu, Minnesota from Kathryn Bigelow and Succession from Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.
