American distiller and businessman Jack Daniel is getting the small screen treatment as WGN America is in the works on Blood and Whiskey. The drama is based on the life of Daniel and will star Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul.
Life of the project has up until this point only existed rumors and well-wishing, but now the horror threequel is officially in development, with production anticipated to launch in early 2016.
Ridley Scott and 20th Century Fox are teaming up for The Cartel, an adaptation of Don Winslow’s novel that centers on the Sonora drug cartel led by the infamous Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. Scott is set to direct the project, with a script by Shane Salerno.
Henderson recently worked with Warner Horizon and Bad Robot on the upcoming Hulu series “11/22/63” starring James Franco, and served as a co-executive producer on the series “Graceland”, “White Collar” and “Almost Human”.
