Ghostbusters producer Ivan Reitman and his Montecito Picture Company will join forces with Anonymous Content to adapt Amy Foster’s forthcoming novel The Rift, the first in a new YA trilogy set to debut later this year.

Logline: A struggling widower, hired to renovate a lighthouse in Maine, brings his estranged kids to a remote island for the summer. While the father tries to repair his relationships with his children, the dark influences of the mysterious island push him to the breaking point.
