Set in a recording studio in the 1920’s, over the course of one afternoon, a group of musicians and the legendary blues singer Ma Rainey record several songs as they discuss the questions of prejudice and the problems facing black people in American society.
The story follows twin brothers with opposite personalities who are separated at a young age and go on to live drastically different lives. They eventually reunite and join forces to save the “Rocket Cola” company despite being in love with the same woman.
When his business partner, and frontman for their firm, has a sudden heart attack, a hard-nosed liberal lawyer starts to uncover a web of unsettling things their crusading firm has been involved in. As the trail of lies goes deeper, his existential crisis turns into extreme action.

Logline: Story centers on Vy Higginsen, an accomplished gospel singer who started a program for teens in Harlem, New York with the intention of preserving the art form by introducing it to a young generation. In the process she helped the inner-city students overcome their problems at home and succeed in more than just signing.
