Tom Hanks to Play Mister Rogers in TriStar Movie as Iconic TV Show Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary
Marielle Heller will direct You Are My Friend, which is inspired by the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod.

Hanks and Streep will play Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Kay Graham respectively. Amy Pascal is the lead producer on the project, which will be co-financed by 20th Century Fox and Amblin Entertainment.
