critics-choice-excerptThe nominees for the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards were announced today, and with no surprise, HBO took the top spot raking in 22 nominations while ABC and Netflix tied for second with 14 nods. With critically acclaimed shows like The Americans, the new Donald Glover comedy Atlanta, and the uber-successful The People Vs. OJ Simpson FX ranked fourth.

Logline: Set at the California Marine Biology Institute six months after “Finding Nemo,” the story finds Dory living a quiet life among the clown fishes. After going with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrate back home, her home sickness leads the forgetful Dory on a quest to find where she came from.

Logline: While enjoying a triumphant world tour, the Muppets get tangled up with a criminal mastermind named Constantine, who is out to steal an enormous diamond and happens to be a dead ringer for Kermit.

Logline: A woman suffering from chronic amnesia is kidnapped by a man claiming to be her brother trying to save her, she must follow her fleeting memories in an attempt to piece together he past.

Logline: After being adopted by a Midwestern family, a young orphan discovers she has an uncanny talent for butter-carving. She eventually finds herself up against the ambitious wife of the retired reigning champion in a town’s annual butter-sculpting contest.
