Venice Film Festival Lineup Includes Jim Carrey, Andy Kaufman Documentary
Other titles that stand out include Andrew Haigh’s Lean on Pete starring young Charlie Plummer; Paul Schrader’s First Reformed starring Ethan Hawke, and S. Craig Zahler’s Brawl in Cell Block 99 starring Vince Vaughn.
The Venice Film Festival recently concluded on Saturday and some of the best-reviewed films of the festival went home with big prizes, including Tom Ford’s second directorial outing with Nocturnal Animals and Damien Chazelle’s La La Land.
Damien Chazelle wrote and directed the film which will also star John Legend and J.K. Simmons, who earned an Oscar for his role in Chazelle’s other musically-oriented pic Whiplash.
