The former President of Columbia Pictures continues to work with Sony producing films like the holiday family action-adventure starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black.
The SNL alum is slated to play a scientists in Ruben Fleischer’s comic book movie, which will co-star Michelle Williams as a district attorney who may fall for Hardy’s Eddie Brock.
It’s been remarkable to see Williams’ career blossom since her Dawson’s Creek days, as she’s racked up four Oscar nominations for her work in Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine, My Week With Marilyn and Manchester by the Sea.
Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are writing the script for Venom, which will be produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal. Sony will release the comic book movie on Oct. 5. 2018.
Logline: Story centers on Spider-Man’s nemeses, Venom, a vigilante created by a sticky parasitic substance from space that gives him powers similar to Spider-Man.
