It looks like the Kingsman actor might be trading in his suit for a green cap and a bow. Taron Egerton is in early talks to play the titular archer in ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS, and though scheduling issues with a possible Kingsman sequel may hamstring these talks, it’s clear that Egerton is the first choice for the part.
Otto Bathurst will be directing the Joby Harold script, which has been reported to be a darker take on the Robin Hood story, similar to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films. Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson, and Safe House’s Harold and Tory Tunnell and Basil Iwanyk are producing.
Egerton will be on screen next as Teddy Smith in Legend, the story of English twin gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
