Taylor Kitsch is set to make his directorial debut with the drama PIECES, which he will also write, produce and star in. The crime drama, based on his short film by the same name, follows three best friends in Detroit whose lives are forever changed when they intercept a drug run.
The Kitsch and Berg collaborations can be traced back all the way to his role as the troubled high school football player in the lauded Friday Night Lights. The two also worked together on Lone Survivor and Battleship.
Kitsch was recently seen in the second season of HBO’s True Detective. He also starred in the Emmy-winning the Normal Heart. He is slated to star alongside Natalie Portman and Jessica Chastain in Xavier Dolan’s The Death and Life of John F. Donovan.
He is repped by CAA.
