〉Pitched as Eragon meets Transformers, it is the first in a two-book series deal.
Award-winning young adult author Wesley King is out with his latest book, DRAGONS VS. DRONES. Pitched as Eragon meets Transformers, the novel centers on a young computer genius who is chased by sleek, high-tech drones into a land populated by Godzilla-size dragons, where he realizes he’s set off a war between the two that only he can stop. The book is set to be published in March, 2016 by Razorbill and will serve as the first in a two-book series deal.
King’s first novel, The Vindico, won a Red Maple Award, an honor bestowed to the best middle grade work by a Canadian author, and he has twice been a Junior Library Guild Official Selection. He is also the author of The Incredible Space Raiders, an outer space adventure in the vein of Lord of the Flies meets Star Trek.
Ben Schrank will be producing Dragons vs Drones on behalf Razorbill’s parent company Penguin Random House. Razorbill is an imprint that publishes several best-selling young adult series, including the Vampire Academy books and The Fantastic Family Whipple, which is set to be adapted into a feature by 20th Century Fox.
