The plot centers around a woman who works as a sort of ‘break-up artist’, professionally helping other women move past their failed relationships. But when she goes through a terrible break-up of her own, the therapist becomes her own worst client.
Fox has plenty of experience in the rom-com space, having served as a producer on the hit show New Girl before creating her own critically-acclaimed but gone-too-soon series Ben and Kate.
She was a producer on this summer’s Hot Pursuit with Reese Witherspoon, and her script How to Be Single, a romantic comedy adapted from Liz Tuccillo’s novel, is currently shooting with 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Fanning in the lead. Fox is now co-producing Single with Drew Barrymore.
