Dave Franco has landed a lead in the upcoming thriller PAPER TRAIL. The story follows a publisher’s assistant (Franco) who ends up on the run after discovering a manuscript sent from a prisoner which contains all the details of an unsolved diamond heist. Franco will play Trevor Parks, a writer who moves to New York to intern at Random House.
Louis Rosenberg and Joe Rosenbaum wrote the script that Ole Christian Madsen (“Banshee”) will direct. Sidney Kimmel, Mark Williams and Matt Berenson will produce while Jim Tauber and Rich Freeman executive produce.
Franco appeared in “Warm Bodies” and “Now You See Me” this year. Both performed well but the latter quietly jumped over the $100 million domestic barrier. He’ll be seen next in the comedies “Neighbors” and “The Business Trip.”
He is repped by CAA.
