I have gotten word that Evan Daugherty has done the most recent revision of EARTHSEED, a sic-fi adaptation based on the novel “Earthseed” by Pamela Sargent. Set in the unknown future, the story follows a group of teenagers who live and grow up on a ship, launched by the people of a dying Earth, as they carry the last seeds of humankind and prepare themselves to live on a completely new planet.
Daugherty did the rewrite from a script penned by Melissa Rosenberg. Daugherty is best known for writing “Snow White And The Huntsman.” He also wrote this weekend’s “Divergent” and the upcoming “G.I. Joe 3,” as well as doing a rewrite on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
I have not read the novel, but in my opinion adding Daugherty as a writer to your project can only be a good thing as he knows his action and adventure. At least that’s what I’m hoping because I REALLY want “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” to be good.
