The story is adapted for the screen by Ryan Jaffe from the David Browne novel.

They join Reeve Carney, who replaced Robert Pattinson for the role of Jeff Buckley, Patricia Arquette, and John Patrick Amedori. Wood will play Joan in the film and Huston will play Mick Grondahl, with the project already in preproduction.
