Evan Rachel Wood and Jack Huston have joined the MYSTERY WHITE BOY, the true story of the life and career of Jeff Buckley, the American singer who emerged in New York City’s avant-garde club scene in the 1990″²s as one of the most remarkable musical artists of his generation. The story is adapted for the screen by Ryan Jaffe from the David Browne novel.
They join Reeve Carney, who replaced Robert Pattinson for the role of Jeff Buckley, Patricia Arquette, and John Patrick Amedori. Wood will play Joan in the film and Huston will play Mick Grondahl, with the project already in preproduction.
Wood, who was last seen on the big screen in “The Conspirator” and “The Ides of March,” recently wrapped up “A Case of You” also starring Justin Long and Sam Rockwell. She is repped by CAA.
Huston, who is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Richard Harrow in HBO’s hit series “Boardwalk Empire,” is also on board “Killing Your Darlings,” a pic which chronicles the formation of the Beat Movement originated by Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg. He is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
