〉Rebeck’s play Omnium Gatherum was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize
ICM ‘s Josie Freedman and Katrina Escudero have hit the market with Smash creator Theresa Rebeck’s hot new manuscript I’M GLAD ABOUT YOU. The project, which is set to be published by Putnam in the Spring of 2016, is being pitched in the vein of 500 Days of Summer, and asks the question of what happens when you meet the love of your life before your life begins. It centers on a girl named Alison, who leaves the love of her life behind to flee the Midwest and head to Hollywood to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.
Rebeck created and executive produced the Emmy and Grammy award-nominated musical series Smash, which ran for two seasons on NBC. She has worked extensively in television, producing shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and NYPD Blue, earning her a Peabody Award.
Rebeck has also written several plays, including 2003’s Omnium Gatherum, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. She is repped by ICM and Manage-ment.
