EXCLUSIVE 〉Brown is the 60th Launch Pad finalist to find representation!
Congratulations to 2014 Launch Pad Alum Alanna Brown on finding representation! Brown has signed with Paradigm’s David Boxerbaum and Adrian Garcia, which makes her the 15th writer from last year’s competition to be signed! She’s also the 60th Launch Pad Alum to sign in under two years.
Brown made the 2014 LPFC competition’s top 25 with her emotionally stirring spec Trees of Peace, which centers on two Tutsi women, a Hutu woman, and a white American volunteer who develop an unbreakable bond whilst hiding in an underground storage closet during the Rwandan genocide of 1994.
Regarding her work, Brown has stated that she is passionate about telling stories that explore and illuminate the human spirit while provoking thought, introspection, and the deep longing in us all to take risks. She is currently enrolled in the UCLA professional screenwriting program. She has drafted two novels and several short stories and poems, however Trees of Peace is her first feature length screenplay.
