The writing duo of Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have been brought onboard for a rewrite of Katie Dippold’s UNTITLED DIPPOLD COP COMEDY.
The pic, which has Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock attached in the lead roles, centers on a high-strung FBI agent and a street cop who team up to take down a Russian gangster.
Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Jenno Topping will produce.
This comedy script will be right up Eisenberg and Stupnitsky’s alley as the team have penned the scripts for “Bad Teacher” and “Year One” and also served as writers and co-executive producers for the hit NBC series “The Office”. They’re upcoming work includes “Central Intelligence”, “College Humor” and the long gestating “Ghostbusters III”.
Both writers are repped by WME.
