Working from a spec by Carter Blanchard, the film follows a group of teens on a hiking trip who stumble upon a mysterious pond that serves as a time-travelling gateway to the past. If he joins, Lerman would play Tyler Murphy, a reserved high schooler and a member of the hiking group who plans on going off to college at Rutgers University after high school.
The film is being produced by Adam Kolbrenner and Mark Sourian.
Fresh-faced Lerman made his Hollywood debut alongside Mel Gibson in 2000’s “The Patriot” but more recently starred in the lead role in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” and was featured in “The Three Musketeers” and “The Perks of Being A Wallflower”. He has wrapped on three upcoming films- the “Percy Jackson” sequel, “Writers” and Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic “Noah”.
Lerman is repped by CAA.
