America will have its 13 Assassins!
Producers Marc Platt and Masi Oka have set up a remake of the 2010 Japanese film 13 ASSASSINS with Universal Pictures and Platt’s own eponymous company. The pair have already begun meeting with writers, and as of today, the project is still an OWA (open writing assignment).
The original film takes place at the end of Feudal era Japan, and follows 13 Samurai-turned-Assassins set with the task of killing a sadistic Lord before he rises to political power.
