〉Gordon is the mega-producer behind Criminal Minds and Saving Private Ryan
Ooh la la! The most romantic city in the world is about to get a dose of action-packed suspense in PARIS TRAP, a new thriller being produced by Mark Gordon through his Mark Gordon Company, from a script by Daniel Taplitz.
The story of mistaken identity centers around Brook Collins, a woman who takes herself to the City of Light on vacation, only to be mistaken for the infamous mistress of a notorious financial criminal. After Brook learns that the woman for whom she’s been mistaken doesn’t actually exist, she discovers that she’s been caught up in an elaborate international sting operation. Brook agrees to assume the false identity in order to keep the trap alive, but as things start to spin out of control, everyone involved begins to wonder which Brook is the real Brook.
Taplitz, who has extensive experience in both TV and film, is the screenwriter behind last year’s Angriest Man in Brooklyn, which proved to be one of the last starring roles for Robin Williams. He also wrote and directed the comedy Breakin’ All the Rules starring Jamie Foxx. He penned the script for Blue Dog–the follow-up to his successful Australian children’s flick Red Dog–which is currently in production.
Gordon is the mega-producer with credits that include hit television series Grey’s Anatomy, Ray Donovan, and Criminal Minds, as well as this fall’s Quantico. He’s produced numerous features, and was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar for Saving Private Ryan. His latest movie, the much-anticipated biopic Steve Jobs, opens October 9th.
With Gordon on board, the pieces are in place for an auteur with a vision to see Paris Trap come to life.
Taplitz is repped by ICM and Anonymous Content.
Gordon is repped by CAA.
