Relativity Media has tapped “Passengers” scribe Ronnie Christensen to tackle a page-one rewrite on their upcoming thriller LATITUDE. The project, which “Deception” director Marcel Langenegger is set to helm, centers on a family who find themselves trapped aboard a haunted Japanese cargo ship, left adrift in the Indian ocean. Christensen, who is riding the heat from his last spec sale in late 2013 – “Incarnate” saw that project fast-tracked once Aaron Eckhart and Catalina Sandino Moreno signed on to star for IM Global and Blumhouse. He also adapted the Richard B. Matheson novel “Earthbound” for Parkes/MacDonald and the Garden of Eden action/adventure project “Eden” for Disney.
With “Latitude” as his next outing, Christensen is fast becoming the go-to-guy for mid-budget thrillers, something 2014 looks to only reinforce!
Christensen is repped by Underground managers Trevor Engelson and Josh Turner McGuire.
