Twentieth Century Fox has put into motion the new sci-fi spec TIME SQUARE from writer Dan Mazeau, and set director Shawn Levy to helm. The project, which is currently being kept under wraps, is set to be produced by Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment & Kerner Entertainment Group.
Levy, who last shot the Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson starrer “The Internship”, is currently in production on “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” for Disney, and has no less than a dozen films and television projects in varying stages of development, including the recent high-concept comedy pitch from Joe Swanberg, which he will produce, and the two recent 20th TV sales “Paroled” and “Domain”.
Mazeau, who is a relative newcomer, was one of the writers on the sequel “Wrath of the Titans”, and is also the current writer on “The Flash” project at Warner Bros, the upcoming Tom Cruise sci-fi pic “Yukikaze” and the adaptations for both “Jonny Quest” and the manga series “Bleach”.
Levy is repped by WME.
Mazaeu is repped by CAA.
