by:

The music-oriented stoner comedy KRINKLE (a reference to the band Primus) from writers & has made the move to low-budget banner . The project, which is still set to produce, centers on a regroup of five 20-something stoners who reunite at a music festival to see their favorite band. Primus, pot, comedyR0; these things almost write themselves. But just in case it doesn’t, we have Wittels, who has previously written for “Eastbound & Down”, “Parks and ” and the upcoming -starrer “” as one half of the team, which also includes Weitzman, a frequent star who has popped up in everything from “’s Hospital”, “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous” and “”. These guys literally live and breathe comedy.

With the move to Insurge, the project gets a nice second life revival beyond it’s original set up date in the mid-2000s as the studio begins their hunt for a director.

Look for more on this one as the hunt continuesR0;
