Anthology series “American Horror Story,” created by Ryan Murphy (“Glee,” “The Normal Heart,”) is back for its fourth season, subtitled “Freakshow.” Set in Jupiter, this time around the series centers on one of the last remaining “freak shows” of the 1950 and its members who will do anything to keep the business alive. Much of all-star recurring cast of the previous seasons are returning to play new roles with familiar faces.
Sarah Paulson will lead the cast as Bette and Dot, conjoined twin sisters and performers in the freak show, and Jessica Lange will play a “German expatriate” who manages the show. Newcomer Michael Chiklis is joining the ranks for the first time as a “strongman” who was once married to Kathy Bates’ character, is currently married to Angela Bassett’s character, and is the father of Evan Peters’. Get the popcorn ready – it ooks like this season will be just as weird, strange, and convoluted as its predecessors.
