We are very pleased to announce our TOP 10 Screenplays in our 2013 Launch Pad Feature Competition.

Our top ten were hand selected from our 25 industry judges who collectively represent 236 of the 491 on the HIT LIST, BLACK LIST and BLOOD LIST of the past three years.  That is almost 50% of the best of the best in the screenwriting world today!

And now, we are excited to share their ten favorite !

Logline:
When a biographer desperately needs money to pay back a substantial loan, he must trigger the publication of his unreleased biography by finding and killing his subject and idol, a reclusive, ninety-one-year-old fantasy novelist.

Terrell T. Garrett & — “WOLVERTON”
Logline:
In turn of the century London, gentleman thief Jack Wolverton specializes in stealing the arcane, the accursed and the occultic. With war about to break out, only he can stop the world’s most powerful artifacts from falling into the hands of the villainous Dorian Gray!

Logline:
A traumatized sailor must confront the fear that cut short his promising navy career, when he’s forced to pilot a homemade drug submarine.

Pitched as District B13 meets The Warriors. After his brother is killed, the only white member of a Mexican street gang must survive the city’s 10 Gang Area and a team of corrupt cops to get the evidence his brother was killed for to the courthouse before the trial ends.

Matt Kinmonth (AKA: ) — “THE THIRD WHEEL”
Logline:
While it seems like every single bitch they went to high school with is now living ‘happily-ever-after’, two thirty-something best friends put marriage, kids and mortgages on hold in order to chase a different dream – the next big novel craze à la Twilight or Fifty Shades of Grey… However, with their chance of success fading as fast as their looks, their close bond is fractured when one of them panics and falls for ‘Mr. Right Now’.

Logline:
Based on a true story. African-American P.I. Sam Marlowe shows novice writer, Raymond Chandler the realities of detective work, juggling gangsters, corrupt politicians and movie star Jean Harlow to find out who is burning farms on the Arroyo Seco Canyon.

— “ONE MAN’S WORD”
Logline:
Based on a true story. An elite US Air Force pilot goes missing transporting a new state-of-the-art bomber across country. Written off as dead to family and friends, he stumbles into a Ranger’s Station fifty-five days later. The USAF labels him an American hero and their new poster boy, which leads to a bidding war for his exclusive story, an Ed Sullivan appearance, tossing out the first pitch at the World and parades. Then a simple statement by a rogue reporter creates one of America’s great military mysteries – pitting America against one man and his word.

When a global disaster strikes Earth, fifteen astronauts fight to secure a spot in a moon base only designed to support six.
