Finn Wittrock, best known for last year’s The Big Short, will join Jenny Slate in the feature comedy LANDLINE. The film reteams Slate with the writer and director behind Obvious Child, Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm.
The story follows three women of the Jacobs family – teenager Ali, older sister, Dana, and their mom – as they navigate lots of sex, drugs, and Japanese food in long-lost New York.
Abby Quinn has been cast as Ali, Jenny Slate will play Dana, and Edie Falco will play their mother. They are joined by Jay Duplass and John Turturro.
OddLot Entertainment’s Gigi Pritzker and Route One Entertainment’s Russell Levine are producing with Holm. OddLot’s Rachel Shane is executive producing.
In addition to Big Short, Wittrock has starred in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and will next be seen in La La Land opposite Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.
He is repped by ICM and Weissenbach Management.
