Things are gearing up on THE BOURNE LEGACY as writer/director Tony Gilroy has been meeting with several actors in an attempt to find a new lead for the spy franchise. While it is not to play Jason Bourne, it will be a young, new assassin with a similar background and skill set as Matt Damon’s titular character.

Gilroy will direct from a script co-written with Dan Gilroy, Josh Zetumer and George Nolfi. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce with Jeffrey Weiner, Henry Morrison and Ben Smith executive producing.
Production for the action thriller is slated to begin in the spring.
