The wildly successful Universal and Blumhouse microbudget thriller series has its cast locked down for its third installment. THE PURGE 3 will show the next year’s 12 hours of lawlessness and will be written and directed again by James DeMonico. Frank Grillo will be returning to the anarchy along with new Purgers Betty Gabriel, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Secor, JJ Soria, Mykelti Williamson and Elizabeth Mitchell.
The first two films grossed a combined $200 million on just a $12 million combined budget. Profits like that pretty much guaranteed a third film from producers Sébastien K. Lemercier, Jason Blum and Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller & Andrew Form.
Frank Grillo was seen in the last Purge film, The Purge: Anarchy, as well as having a growing role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his part as former HYDRA agent, now super thug, Crossbones. He is repped by CAA and Management 360.
Gabriel is repped by Greene & Associates and Generate.
Hodge is repped by Pakula/King & Associates and The Priluck Company.
Mitchell is repped by Paradigm and LINK Entertainment.
Secor is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.
Soria is repped by Pakula/King & Associates and David Dean Management.
Williamson is repped by Paradigm.
