Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfriend-starring comedy THE CLAPPER has added comedian Russell Peters to the cast. The project hails from Helms’s Pacific Electric banner.
The story follows a professional “infomercial clapper” who gets plucked by a late-night talk show to host his own TV series. The 15 minutes of fame end up costing him his job, as well as a budding relationship with a girl who works at a gas station.
Dito Montiel will direct from his own script. Robin Shorr will produce alongside Helms and Mike Falbo.
Peters was seen in this year’s Fifty Shades Of Black and voiced Rocky the Rhino in The Jungle Book.
He is repped by WME and Seven Summits Pictures.
