All aboard!
Liam Neeson and Vera Farmiga are set to star in the new thriller from Jaume Collet-Serra, THE COMMUTER, and they will now be joined by three more actors.
Sam Neill, Elizabeth McGovern, and Jonathan Banks have all signed on to the film.
The synopsis of the movie is being hailed as Hitchcock-esque (think Strangers on a Train), with Farmiga playing a mysterious woman who makes an offer to Neeson which could have terrible consequences. It’s not known who the three new cast members will be playing.
Byron Willinger and Phil de Blasi have penned the script, with The Picture Company’s Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman producing. Filming is set to begin this month. Lionsgate has also set a U.S. release date for October 13, 2017.
Neill has most recently been seen in the features Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Tommy’s Honour. McGovern is most well-known for her role as Cora Crawley on Downton Abbey, which ended last year. Banks was most recently seen in the series Better Call Saul, and is currently filming the feature Mudbound.
Neill is repped by Curtis Brown Group Ltd., ICM Partners, and Shanahan Management.
McGovern is repped by Tavistock Wood, UTA, and Anonymous Content.
Banks is repped by Lovett Management and Domain.
