On Sunday, the London Critics’ Circle selected Mad Max: Fury Road as its Best Film of the Year, and its director, George Miller, was honored with of the Year. Its star, Tom Hardy, was named British/Irish Actor of the Year–which acknowledged his performances in Legend, The Revenant, and London Road as well– while 45 Years was a big winner of the night with 3 major awards. The awards ceremony was hosted by comedians Alice Lowe and Steve Oram.
