The film follows Lizzie (Rapace), a mother who is struggling to cope with the loss of her daughter who died several years earlier when she becomes convinced that a stranger’s daughter is her own. Strahovski will play Claire, the woman who Lizzie alleges has stolen her daughter.
Farrant directs from a script by Lion scribe Luke Davies who adapted the project based on the French feature L’Empriente. The film comes from SixtyFourSixty and Garlin Pictures with Brian Etting, Josh Etting, and Su Armstrong producing the project. Exec producers include Robert Ogden Barnum and Nadine de Barros of Fortitude International as well as Davies and Brian Rosen.
Strahovski can be seen next in the soon-to-be-released second season of Hulu’s acclaimed series, The Handmaid’s Tale. Her next outing on the big screen will be Shane Black’s The Predator which hits theaters September 14. She is represented by Paradigm.
