Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jason Clarke are all in talks to join EVEREST. The project is based on the true story of three expeditions who were hit with ferocious blizzards on a climb to the top of Mt. Everest.
Justin Isbell penned the most recent draft of the script that Baltasar Kormakur (“Contraband”) will direct. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Joe Singer will produce.
Brolin was last seen in “Gangster Squad” (don’t hold it against him) and he’ll next appear in Spike Lee’s remake of “Old Boy.” Hawkes’ last movie was “The Playroom” and his next is likely to be “Low Down.” Gyllenhaal last gave it his all in “End of Watch” and will appear next in the blandly titled “Prisoners.” Clarke can be seen currently in “White House Down” and is currently filming his role in “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
