It’s been nearly 10 years since Iron Man kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe and after that Captain America and Thor before uniting The Avengers in 2012. Flash forward to present day and in 2018 and 2019 Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel will bring back all the heroes who have appeared in the MCU.
In an interview with Vanity Fair Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said the fourth Avengers movie is going to be the start of a drastically different era for the heroes. Feige said, “[Twenty-two] movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before—intentionally.” He added that Avengers 4will “bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale. … There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.”
The MCU has released 17 films that collectively grossed more than $13 billion at the global box office. In the next two years, five more movies will be released. The photoshoot featured 83 Marvel stars, which may be the first and last time we see all of these characters together. With 20 movies already on the docket, imagine what another photoshoot would look like 10 years from now. While we ponder the secretive future of Marvel, enjoy these cast photos.
