Final Verdict
This is a tough one. Rather than figuring out which shows ABC might pick to series (hard to determine at this point), I’m simply going to list out the ones that I think ought to be ordered: Unt. Marc Cherry, The Crossing, Deception, and Unit Zero.
Marc Cherry’s pilot is the clear winner for me in terms of writing alone. It’s the most entertaining and unusual pilot I’ve read this year, and I’m rooting for it. It’ll be a risk, no doubt, but playing it safe hasn’t exactly reaped rewards for ABC.

I think the “Ten Days in the Valley” page is mixing up two pilots: the logline and Paula Patton are from “Somewhere Between,” a different series. Ten Days in the Valley is about an overworked TV producer and is led by Kyra Sedgwick.
