Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans is developing Naked, a new project with Rick Alvarez, whom he often collaborates with, and Todd Garner. All three are set to produce the American remake, which is currently in pre-production and slated to start production this fall. Wayans will also star as the lead character.

This weekend will see a new film (Clint Eastwood’s Sully) claim the number one spot at the domestic box office. In fact, this weekend’s box office will have a lot of new blood, which is refreshing. New films open every week, but the box office has felt particularly stagnant as of late so to see three new titles in the top five is a good sight.

Focus Features has secured the worldwide distribution rights to the untitled fashion drama that will see There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Andersen reteam with actor Daniel Day-Lewis. Focus will finance the $35 million production, eyeing a release date of the second half of 2017, just in time for awards season.
