The reviews for Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice have been, in a word, divisive. There have been nice things that said about the movie and some not-so-nice things — probably more of the latter. This would explain the latest video that has been making its way around the internet which has an interviewer asking Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill if they have read the mixed reviews the movie has been receiving. As Cavill explains his reactions to the polarizing reviews, Affleck looks down in a somber gaze as Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sounds of Silence” plays. Thus, the “Sad Affleck” meme is born.
