{Things We Love} Watch The Oscar Winner For Best Animated Short, “Bear Story”

Many were probably expecting Pixar’s Sanjay’s Super Team to pick up the Academy Award for Best Animated Short, but it was the quiet short, BEAR STORY by Gabriel Osorio and Pato Escala that ended up taking the trophy home.

The short film follows the life of a lonely old bear who makes a mechanical diorama that tells the story of a bear who is captured from his family and forced to perform at a circus. While in captivity, he yearns for the day he can escape and return to his family. Many people may have never heard of Bear Story but now that it has snagged an Oscar, the beautifully animated and unbelievably heart-wrenching tale is sure to get more attention.
