Thomas Jane has signed on to star in SyFy’s THE EXPANSE, a new sci-fi avdenture series produced by Ben Book through Alcon Entertainment. The drama, set 200 years into the future, centers on the crew of the Rocinante, who discover a derelict vessel which holds a secret that may be devastating to human existence. Jane is set to play Miller, a hardened and weary detective, who is assigned to the investigation of a missing heiress. “The Expanse” was picked up by SyFy as straight to series with a 10-episode commitment.
Jane is perhaps best know for starring as Ray Drecker in HBO’s “Hung.” We’re going to be seeing a lot of Jane (though not as much as we did in “Hung,”) as the actor has several projects due out soon. He can be seen in Universal’s upcoming horror flick “The Veil” with Lily Rabe and Jessica Alba, as well as “Vice,” directed by Brian A. Miller and starring Bruce Willis. Additionally, he’ll be featured in Mike Flanagan’s “Somnia,” and John Herzfeld’s “Reach Me.”
