“Thor: Ragnarok” Scribe Eric Pearson to Rewrite “Cowboy Ninja Viking”

Coming off of his work on Thor: Ragnarok, has been set to rewrite for Universal. Chris Pratt is set to star with Michelle MacLaren directing.

Pearson is taking over an earlier draft written by Craig Mazin, who rewrote the original by Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese.

Pratt will play an assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: Cowboy Ninja Viking.

Pearson has been very busy as he is scripting Nonplayer, the comic book series from writer-illustrator Nate Simpson for Legendary. He also contributed writing on Ant-Man, Spiderman: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, the untitled Avengers 4, and Legendary’s Detective Pikachu and Pacific Rim.

Pearson joined from the Marvel Studios writers’ program. Along with several screenplays, he also wrote a majority of the short films from the Marvel One-Shot series including Agent Carter which went on to become an ABC series he wrote on. He is represented by .
