Sci-fi thriller WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY? is in final negotiations to land at Netflix. The project, which will close in the mid-seven figures, stars Noomi Rapace, Willem Dafoe, and Glenn Close.
The film takes place in a world where families are allowed only one child due to overpopulation, where a resourceful set of identical septuplets must avoid governmental execution and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own. Rapace plays each of the septuplets.
It was an official selection out of the Toronto International Film Festival where it received positive buzz after private screenings to buyers. CAA packaged and sold the project. Tommy Wirkola directed the project while Raffaella De Laurentiis, Philipope Rousselet, and Fabrice Gianfermi produce.
This is the latest of several big sales at TIFF. Others include the Natalie Portman-starring Jackie and the Anne Hathaway monster movie Colossal. With a week still left at the festival, we’re sure to see several more sales coming in.
