Allison Janney has joined the cast of Tim Burton’s upcoming adaption of the Ransom Riggs novel MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN.
Janney joins Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell and Samuel L. Jackson in the story following a teen that is transported to an island of orphans that have strange powers that must protect themselves from dangerous creatures.
Green is set to play Miss Peregrine, with Asa Butterfield as the lead teenager.
Janney is set to play the psychiatrist of Butterfield’s character.
Known for her roles in The West Wing and Juno, Janney could currently be seen on the sitcom Mom and will appear in the upcoming Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy.
Janney is repped by Gersh and Thruline Entertainment.
