A brand new — and appropriately timely — spec is hitting the market this week from scribe Patrick McConville. The political thriller INAUGURATION DAY has already captured the attention of several producers and is moving into major territories. It is a story that is sure to resonate with the entirety of the country.
Set against the backdrop of the inauguration ceremony, a malicious cyber attack against U.S. Space Command forces the President-Elect and the outgoing President into the Situation Room to work together to protect the country. Opposing National Security teams must race to find who committed the attack and what to do before it’s too late.
It’s pitched as Crimson Tide meets Eye in the Sky set inside the White House and it is near impossible to miss how crucial this story is at this time in the country’s current political climate. Featuring bitter rivalries and hacking, it is sure to be a much-desired project.
This is McConville’s first script being shopped under Bellevue and undoubtedly it will get many eyes on his work. He also landed on the 2011 Young & Hungry List.
He is repped by Jeff Portnoy of Bellevue Productions.
