“Titans” Casts “24: Legacy” Alum as DC Superhero Starfire

Greg Berlanti’s newest DC comic book series has added 24: Legacy alum Anna Diop in the role of Starfire, has confirmd.

Titans is live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is described as a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Diop’s Starfire – aka Koriand’r – is an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. Described as a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans.

Diop joins Teagan Croft, who plays the character of Raven, the daughter of a demon who is described as a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side.

Berlanti is executive , along with Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter.

The series is set to debut in 2018 on the DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service.

Diop most recently starred on Fox’s 24: Legacy reboot and was one of the stars of Th CW’s The Messengers. She is represented Abrams Artists.
