TLC Renews Tyler Perry’s “Too Close To Home,” Syfy Gives “Killjoys” & “Dark Matter” A Third Season

Tyler Perry’s drama TOO CLOSE TO HOME was welcomed with strong ratings for its season premiere. Because of that, TLC has decided to renew the series for a second season set to premiere in 2017.

As the first series for TLC, Too Close to Home centers on the story of Anna (Danielle Savre), a young woman who comes face-to-face with her checkered past after an alleged affair with the president.

In more renewal news, Syfy recently announced that their space action dramas KILLJOYS and DARK MATTER will return for third seasons. The news was made ahead of their respected season finales.

Killjoys stars Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore, and Luke Macfarlane as three interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multiplanetary class war. The season 2 finale airs on September 2.

Based on Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie’s graphic novel of the same name, Dark Matter centers on a crew who awaken on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got there. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage fueled by vengeance, betrayal, and hidden secrets.
